The Layout

Designed for comfort and flexibility, the villa unfolds across two main floors with generous light filled interiors. Four elegant bedrooms are located in the main building, most with en suite or shared bathrooms and sea views, offering privacy for families or groups. A separate studio on the lower level (extra charge) provides additional accommodation for up to four people, with its own en-suite bathroom and extra privacy. The heart of the villa is a spacious open plan living, dining, and kitchen area, fully air conditioned and oriented toward the sea, ideal for gatherings, retreats, or small seminars. Features such as floor heating and cooling and dedicated work and laundry spaces ensure the villa remains practical and comfortable throughout the year. Downstairs, the hammam offers a private and relaxing experience, providing comfort and convenience for guests.

Amazing place, outstanding view from the every window of the house’s rooms and bedrooms! Well equipped kitchen and households places. So nice pool with the sea view😍! Ideal spot for snorkeling lovers! We observed many different kinds of fish, an octopus, the moray eels, the lion fish… The house keeper was so kind and helpful. We recommend this place a lot!

Our family (6 adults, 4 children) spent two delightful weeks in Villa Tauros in August 2022. After a 2 hour drive from Heraklion airport under the blazing sun and winding roads, it was magical to walk into the calm, cool and comfortable villa. Pure bliss! The house is very luxurious. It has spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and a cosy living room. The playroom with the ping-pong table was a welcome ‘extra’ for the children, as was the Hamman for the adults. But the real highlight was the infinity pool overlooking the sea – a unique and truly breath-taking view, which we simply couldn’t get enough of. We enjoyed the view from morning to evening, and from every corner of the house – from each bedroom and terrace, to the outdoor dining areas where we sat for dinner in the evenings. The swimming pool was perfect to swim in, both for grown-ups and young children. And the sea, at a short walking distance down some rocky stairs, was great to snorkel in on most days (when there weren’t too many waves). We ventured out of the Villa a few times to discover nearby beaches and restaurants, rightfully recommended by our hosts! Simply put, we had a memorable time in what truly is a little piece of paradise on earth!

A lovely and spacious villa in a BREATHTAKING spot in southern Crete. We were in awe every day and could not get enough of the view! Highly recommend if you are looking for a quiet getaway. We very much enjoyed the access to private beach area. Also appreciated the foods provided at check in so we had the basics on hand.

The Area

Villa Tauros is positioned atop a dramatic 50 metre cliff along a coast of south Crete, within a protected and largely untouched natural setting. The landscape is rugged and open, with wide sea views and a secluded bay unfolding directly below the property. Neighbouring villas in Crete are discreetly placed within the wider terrain, preserving privacy without complete isolation. Access is via a steep dirt road that reinforces the off grid and intentional nature of the location. A small rocky beach lies directly beneath the villa, while several sandy beaches can be reached within 800 metres, offering varied coastal experiences close by.

The immediate seafront below the villa is accessed by a staircase descending the cliffside, providing direct contact with the sea and a truly wild coastal experience. Please note that the stairs are very steep and can be challenging to walk; extra care is required, and children must be supervised at all times. This dramatic access is part of the area’s unspoilt character and is best suited to confident walkers. For daily needs, the nearest supermarket is approximately 15 km away of villa Tauros, making the area ideal for guests who value tranquility, natural beauty, and a sense of adventure over convenience.
